I really think that the expedition is such a failure. I did my best to think of ways to make it better, but I can’t seem to think of any. All I get in is just more problems. There are so many faults in this whole expedition organisation. Not that I’m pessimistic or what, but that’s a fact.

The expedition makes me feel like I’m such a failure a planning things and I’ve lost all my skills in planning.

I want to vent. But then, I don’t feel like venting here on my blog cause I don’t feel like it’s gonna make me feel better.

Maybe I need a punching bag. Punch and punch until I cannot punch.

I know I haven’t been updating my blog, because I was lazy and busy.

But now, I’m updating because I think I really have nowhere else to express them.

I’ve been feeling this way for the past few days or even the past few weeks. I’ve been very irritated and frustrated easily and I really hate that side of myself. Having that said, I still can’t seem to change. It because of many things, accumulating, causing such a great impact on me I guess. Exams, expedition, commitments, friends, and naggings.

Exam stress, that’s natural. Expedition, there are lots of things settle and I think there are some problems in the committee. The ways of communication is just not right. I shan’t go into details, it has gotten better though. Naggings from my mom really doesn’t help.

Actually, one of the worst reasons is sadly, friends. I’m sorry but I need to say this. Some of my good friends have left, unbelievable. I thought we could be friends forever, but then to contact them is almost impossible. Everything else seems to be more important. They can’t even make time for a friend’s birthday celebration which only takes up like, 3 to 4 hours of their evening. What happened to all those ‘keep in touch’, ‘friends forever’, etc. messages on those cards that were given to me on Prom Night?

Next, again, friends. And same thing, sorry, I need to say this. I’ve mentioned this issue before; a number of times. But I’m not sure whether I’m taken seriously or not. Why must I always be disturbed? The same issues. First, don’t you ever get sick of repeating the same thing over and over again? If you don’t, I do. Second, what’s with irritating me? Is it THAT fun and interesting? If it is, I just got to say that you may be enjoying it, but at the expense of someone’s patience and mood. Why wouldn’t anyone ever stop annoying me? Are you testing my patience or do you want to see me blow up? You know, I really can’t take it anymore. It doesn’t matter how many times I say ‘STOP’. It doesn’t work. And when I suddenly say ‘f***’ which I don’t want to use, you realise the severity of it. Come on man, my friends, why must I resort to using such a vulgar word for you to realise it? I don’t get it.

So, how the hell can I remain calm? Everytime I wish to take each joke or whatever you call it with a pinch of salt, I can’t. You do it sooo often that it has accumulated till this extent that with every little joke, I’ll be pissed off.

I desperately want my old self back. I don’t want to get pissed off easily. I want to be patient. I want to be a lot of nicer things that being fierce and pissed off all the time. Can anyone just give me some peace and let me do what I want? I don’t know how, but I am trying to control.

So, please…

It felt so different to go back to SP for lessons. The crowd was just unbelievable. There were so many people everywhere and it was kind of difficult to squeeze through the crowd in the morning. Anyway, Jericho and I bought the recommended textbook for Anatomy and Physiology. It cost 48 bucks! :X

We walked around the campus like 3 rounds! That was so super tiring. >< I was feeling so damn tired and sleepy even before the lessons start at 15:30.

The 1st lesson was Math. The Math lecturer (Mrs Linda Tan) is very nice and quite humourous. Hahaha. And the next lesson, Basic Immunology, was cool too. Well, I’m really looking forward to more lessons!

Anyway, there’s something that I’m upset about. I can’t go on cruise anymore. ): The inital date (7 – 10 June) was fully booked and the only one available was 31st May to 3rd June. >< My holiday starts on 5th June! ))): So, my family and relatives will be away on cruise while I stay alone in Singapore. Like, I was REALLY REALLY looking forward to the vacation!! *Sigh* That’s really sad. I can’t afford to miss lessons and going on cruise isn’t a good reason to apply for Leave of Absence. Oh wells. It’ll take some time for me to get over this. I hate it when I can’t go for vacations, especially when it’s such RARE chances. :/

All right, first, I got to take a look at the calendar and see which were the dates that had interesting events. The last time I blogged was on 1 March 2009. Okay, I’ll start blogging about days whereby interesting happened from 2 March 2009 onwards.

This was the last day of our DPA PPP. Hmm… What else happened? Oh yeah, I didn’t go for the BBQ. In fact, in the end, no one from Cluster 3 attended the DPA BBQ party! Haha. Nevermind, I still love Cluster 3 people.

I guess that’s all? Not very interesting, but yeah, it was the last day. The first and last day of something are sometimes worth remembering. Hehe.

DPA Cluster 3 Sentosa Outing! Woohoo! It was a totally enjoyable day man! We had lots of fun! Especially those who stayed till the very end of the outing. Once again, I shall post photos.

Well, I totally enjoyed myself and I really will miss them when the school semester starts and we’re no longer in the same class. ><

First day of the orientation! Was really excited to see who are my classmates! And well, they were pretty cool and the first person that I spoke a lot to was Gayathree! And anyway, I volunteered to be the class rep. Haha! Well, no one volunteered for awhile, so, I did. Hahaha. Anyway, there are lots of fun stuff for DBS students and I’m just looking forward to them!

It was the SP Flag Day 2009 and all the freshmen had to collect donations at designated MRT stations. My class was assigned to Commonwealth MRT station. When we arrived at Commonwealth, we realised that we weren’t the only class there. Haha. Anyway, we worked hard and took a break at a coffee shop nearby. Suddenly, I was really random and just mentioned, “Let’s catch a movie.” haha. Who knows, many were excited about that and we went for it! hahaha. We watched ‘Taken’ at Cineleisure. Then we made a trip back to school to return the tins. I just love my class man! We only got to know each other for barely 2 – 3 days and we already started planning for future outings. Anyway, here are some photos.

OMG! I haven’t blogged for such a long time! :X So sorry to all my regular readers (if any!). hahaha.

Anyway, many things have happened over this period of time! haha. The main things will be, I have my own laptop now and also, I have cable tv!

Totally rocks man! Anyway, got to go. I’ll TRY to update asap. Heheh.

It’s boring Saturday again! If only I can go to Megan’s place like Fridays. haha.

Anyway, I went to National Library to study with and accompany Hui Ling. I studied some stuff for marketing. It was actually quite boring as I had nothing much to study. So, I borrowed some books to read.

Actually, today, there wasn’t really much that we did. I went home alone as Huiling was staying till 21:00. I took bus 70 and it was really the wrong choice. I should’ve taken the MRT train home. >< I ended up with motion sickness, causing me to feel nauseated and have a headache. The feeling was so awful. >< I had to alight from the bus at Serangoon MRT station to buy some dried orange peels to suppress the nausea. And then I took bus 109 home. The discomfort lasted up till now. >< Still feeling kind of giddy. :/

Anyway, I’m going swimming tomorrow at Anchorvale then study with huiling. And in the late afternoon, I have to go for my dragon boat training as coach contacted me about the upcoming race.

Understanding data today was more challenging than last week. It requires more thinking and more work. Today’s topic was about bar charts, pie charts, histograms and scatter plots. In addition, we had 2 activities to complete and many graphs to plot using Microsoft Excel. So, time was an issue. But well, I’d like to say that my group did a great job! Jericho contributed a lot for the discussion, Shi Min contributed a lot too and Gavin did a great presentation for some questions that he presented!

I love fridays because I get to go to Megan’s place! Megan and Alyssa are my nieces and they’re both so cute!! It’s always nice to see them. ((: And, their place is very condusive for studying.

Anyway, today, Huiling joined me at their house for the first time and she really liked it! It’s nice to know that she is not thinking about certain things for the time she’s there. And Megan’s hair became so long! Hahah. As for Alyssa, she grew a lot too! She isn’t that afraid of strangers anymore and gets used to you after some time. She can walk and run around as well! She laugh and smile a lot more too!

The first retard I met at SP

This morning, Jericho, Joevin and I reached SP at 08:30 as usual. We’re always early. But somebody sat outside T612 alone and he was earlier than us. From far, I guessed it was the guy that I encountered last week. Last week, he saw me (and I didn’t know him) and repeated word for word what was posted up on the SP website regarding an interview about DPA. And I asked him “So?” and he said nothing. But this morning, he said “hi” to him and he repeated that again! 

Basically, this was what was posted on the SP website: ‘I used DPA as a safety net as the cut-off point for this course (Biomedical Science) is too low. Also, SP has the best facilities for this course.’ So, he repeated that twice to me this morning! Can you imagine how annoying it was? So, I just said patiently to him, “Can you just stop repeating it?”

Then he started lecturing me in his monotone, “Do you know you shouldn’t use DPA as a safety net? You should choose DPA BECAUSE you have the PASSION and INTEREST. How can you say that you’re using it as a safety net?? I mean even if you’re using it as a safety net, don’t mention it in the interview. You know how RUDE that is?” When he said those, I was like blowing up already. How dare he lecture me on all that.
I was like, “Wait, I mentioned OTHER THINGS other than safety net during the interview. They just chose not to include it.”
He was like, “Then why didn’t they include it??” Like, how would I know right? Come on man, what’s your problem. :/

I didn’t want to attend to him anymore after. Such a retard. One of the few questions he asked was, “Do you have Wen Jie’s number??” Actually, I have it, but I just didn’t want to give him. So, I said I didn’t have it. I asked him why he wanted her number and he gave me a stupid answer. “Obviously it’s to contact her.” Come one man, I know that too. :/ And he asked what time she usually reaches school and Jericho said she’s usually late.
So, I was being sarcastic but I surpressed part of the sarcasm, “Well, she’s usually 5 to 10 minutes late for class. So, it’s either you wait for her and be late for your class or you be on time for your class and not get her number for a long time.” After some time, he left.

You know when he left, Jericho was also damn pissed can. And well, I rarely use vulgarities, but after Jericho whispered f*** off, I was like… what a f***ing retard. If you were there, you’ll know what I mean. And if you know me, it must be extremely superduperuber bad when I use the ‘f’ word.

Later on, we figured that Com knows that guy and said he was from his school and he’s damn weird. So, I told him what he lectured me about and his first reaction was, “But isn’t DPA a safety net??” Woah. I totally love that answer man! It is! If not why do they have it in the first place?? Anyway, that guy better not let Jericho or me see him again. If not I’m so going to tell him exactly what Com said. Oh wells.

The movie — The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Huiling and I rushed to watch this movie at Vivo City from our schools. I was told that it’s a good movie. I guess maybe I heard it wrongly. Not saying that it’s not a good movie, but it’s not that good. The beginning of the movie is too boring. The interesting parts only started from the battle. In addition, there were too many scenes showing them making love. Actually my favourite scenes weren’t the ones that were very important. My favourite will be the old man always saying, “Have I told you that I got struck by the lightning seven times? Once I was… (mentions one of the 7 times).” And the other scenes were when Benjamin’s appearance was like a kid (not a teenager). Anyway, it’s definitely not my favourite movie.

I waited rather long for bus 72 to arrive at the bus stop and there were many people. Unfortunately, the bus that came was a single-decker. While boarding the bus, people were pushing and squeezing, all wanting to get on the bus. Well, nothing wrong with trying to get on the bus, but pushing and squeezing? It’s going way too far. You know, I was right in front of the first step waiting for the guy in front of me to move up. When I was about to move up to the first step, I was being pushed from the side by a girl that’s about 7 to 8 years’ old. Her mom was next to her. I almost fell! Like, I almost fell because of a kid?? Then she didn’t apologise. She looked at me and continued, not giving a damn. Her mom didn’t even bother to say a word, as though she’s so proud that her daughter managed to get to the bus. Oh my gosh. That’s so irritating. I mean, I know you want to get on the bus, but can’t you wait for your turn? And getting almost pushed down sucks. If you apologise, I’ll smile at you. But oh wells. Some people just think that there’s nothing wrong. So, too bad. ><
